Dr. Gordon is a board-certified neurosurgeon who specializes in surgery and treatment of the brain, spine & peripheral nerve disorders. She is the director of the Infirmary Neuroscience Center of Excellence, which is a part of Infirmary Health. Having always enjoyed the challenge of taking things apart and putting them back together, this enthusiasm for figuring things out led Dr. Gordon to Vanderbilt University where she majored in Biomedical Engineering. During her senior design project, she engineered a glove for use during deep brain stimulation electrode placement to quantify Parkinson’s disease symptoms. This is where she found her passion for neurosurgery. Furthering her medical education, she went on to receive her medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine in 2008.
